Installers draft. Supervisors sign. Clients receive.
Add your team from £5 per user per month. Get approval workflows, role-based access, and an audit trail for every certificate.
First month free · Card required · Cancel any time
On Core, £15 a month plus £5/user; on Pro, £25 a month plus £8/user. A one-time credit is applied automatically to your first invoice when you sign up (£30 on Core and £49 on Pro) — no code needed, and it can only be used once. Teams of up to 4 pay nothing in month one; from 5 people up you pay your first month's total minus that credit, so a team of 5 pays £5 on Core and £8 on Pro. Seats added after sign-up are billed as normal. Worked examples and a team-size calculator are further down this page.
CertSync is not currently VAT registered. The price you see is the total you pay.
How a certificate reaches a client.
- Installer drafts
On site, often offline. Photos, test results, observations.
- Installer submits
"Submit for review" sends it to the Supervisor queue.
- Supervisor reviews
Approves and signs, or returns with specific comments.
- Certificate goes to the client
Admins, Office seats, and Supervisors with Office access can email it to the customer.

Four roles, one clear workflow.

Supervisors review and sign certificates submitted by Installers. They don't see Installer drafts or work-in-progress until a certificate is submitted for review. Admins see everything, at every stage.
An Office seat is for whoever runs the paperwork rather than the work: they send finished certificates out, and on PRO they create, assign and close the jobs and see the whole team's schedule rather than only their own bookings. They cannot create, edit, approve, sign or delete a certificate, and a colleague's draft or in-review work never appears to them. Office access can also be switched on for a Supervisor instead, which keeps their signing rights and costs nothing extra — CertSync bills per user, not per role, so one person doing both jobs is one seat at one price. An Installer has to be promoted to Supervisor first, which is also free.
Buying and removing seats, changing the card, sending invitations, changing anyone's role, granting Office access and cancelling the subscription all stay with an Admin.
Can two people work on one certificate?
Yes. Invite a colleague to a live draft and work it together. You can see who is in the certificate and which section they are in, and section locking stops two people editing the same part at once. Edits to different parts are combined. If a save would overwrite a newer change a colleague has made, CertSync refuses it and shows you the conflict to resolve. Accept or decline invites from the notification bell. The audit log records who submitted, approved, signed and sent each certificate.
How much does a team cost?
| Seat | Core | Pro |
|---|---|---|
| First user (Admin) | £15/month | £25/month |
| Users 2–10 | £5/user | £8/user |
| Users 11+ | £3/user | £5/user |
Add or remove seats any time. Billing prorates. A seat is bought before it can be invited: buy the seat, then send the invite.

The same team, with projects and a schedule.
Everything above — the four roles, the approval workflow, the audit trail, live collaboration — comes with both plans. PRO adds the job around the certificate: group certificates into projects, put a team schedule behind them, and set who is on which job on which day.
Both plans carry the same 13 UK electrical & renewables certificate types and the same unlimited certificates. PRO adds how you run the team, not what you can certify.
PRO is £25 a month. A team of five on PRO is £25 + (4 × £8) = £57/month.
Team questions.
Can Supervisors edit Installer drafts?
No. Supervisors see certificates once an Installer submits them for review. Before that point, drafts and work-in-progress are the Installer's own. Admins see everything, at every stage.
Who can send a certificate to a client?
Admins, Office seats, and Supervisors who have been given Office access. Sending is a separate permission from signing: a Supervisor approves and signs, but cannot email the certificate out unless an Admin has switched Office access on for them. Installers draft and submit; they never send.
Can Supervisors also create their own certificates?
Yes. Supervisors have all the permissions of an Installer, plus the ability to review and sign work submitted by other team members.
What happens when an Installer submits for review?
Supervisors receive a notification. They can then review the certificate, return it with specific comments, or approve and sign it.
How much does each extra person cost?
Each person is a seat, bought before you invite them. On Core, £15 for the first user, £5 each for users 2–10, and £3 each from user 11. On Pro, £25 for the first user, £8 each for users 2–10, and £5 each from user 11. For a team of more than 20, talk to us and we will price it with you.
Can two people work on the same certificate?
Yes. Invite a colleague to a draft and you work on it together, with section locks and live updates: you can see who is in which section, and section locking stops two people editing the same part at once. Edits to different parts of the certificate are combined. If a save would overwrite a newer change a colleague has made, CertSync refuses it and shows you the conflict to resolve.
What gets recorded in the audit trail?
Submit, approve, sign, send, return, correct and delete actions, with who did it and when, for each certificate.
What does PRO add for a team?
Both plans carry the same 13 UK electrical & renewables certificate types, the same four roles and the same approval workflow. PRO adds project management on top: certificates grouped into jobs, a team schedule, and who is on which job on which day. It changes how you run the team, not what you can certify.
